The 4th China Biobank Standardization and Application Seminar and the 2nd Shanghai Biobank and Translational Medicine International Forum (CBSAS-SBTMF) will be held on June 21-23,2012 at Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine, organized by China Medicinal Biotechnology Association, National Engineering Center for Biochip at Shanghai and Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine, also supported by Biobank Branch, China Medicinal Biotechnology Association, Tongji Hospital Affiliated to Tongji University and Shanghai Outdo Biotech Co. Ltd.

 

This conference invited dozens of famous experts in biobank and translational medicine fields to give wonderful talks.

 

Session topics of CBSAS-SBTMF will cover the following areas: designing, setting-up, security system, information management system of the biobank and standard operation procedure of bio-specimen collection, transportation ，quality assurance and ethical and legal issue. The conference will illustrate the different types of biobanks, built by hospital, local government, as well as state governments. It demonstrates the latest development of biobank application in translational medicine. We hope that we can take advantage of the academic seminars to reach consensuses in biobank field and to guide the biobank construction and application.
