WELCOME TO APPA-2011 and Joint Sino-UK Meeting
Asia Pacific Protein Association (APPA) and The Protein Society are organizing the 3rd Asia Pacific Protein Association Conference in conjunction with the 3rd Symposium of the Chinese Protein Society (APPA-2011). APPA-2011 will provide a wonderful platform to promote the exchange of research ideas and collaboration among protein researchers all over the world, especially in the Asian-Pacific region. Meanwhile, to celebrate 100th anniversary of the Biochemical Society, a satellite Sino-UK protein symposium will be held in the same venue during May 5-7, 2011, co-sponsored by the Biochemical Society and the Chinese Protein Society, overlapping on the first day of the 3rd APPA conference. As the host of this great event, the Chinese Protein Society will very well make the arrangements and warmly welcome the colleagues in this community to join us.
Registration: low registration fee covering everything you need: conference materials, welcome reception, banquet, lunch and dinner meals, coffees during the meeting breaks, a ticket to visit the Shanghai World Expo and a ticket for a high level performance (just for APPA attendees) .
Hotel reservation: not only conveniently accessible to the conference venue and the airports, railway stations, as well as the wonderings of the city, but also with a very satisfactory rate.

General Information
The study on protein science will give us more knowledge of life in molecular, cellular and integrated level, with the deep investigation into the structure, function, interaction and dynamic changes of protein. It is one of the most important research fields during the post-genome era of life science. The results of protein science research will bring forth novel biotechnology and contribute to the development of medicine, agriculture and green industry. T he 1st and 2nd Pacific-Rim International Conference on Protein Science, separately held during April 14-18, 2004 , in Yokohama, Japan , and June 22-26, 2008 , in Cairns, Australia, have provid ed wonderful platform s to promote the exchange of research ideas and collaboration among protein researchers all over the world, especially in the Asian-Pacific region. Asia Pacific Protein Association (APPA) and The Protein Society are organizing the third conference in conjunction with the 3rd Symposium of the Chinese Protein Society. Meanwhile, to celebrate 100th anniversary of the Biochemical Society , a s atellite Sino-UK p rotein s ymposium will be held in the same venue during May 5-7, 2011, c o-sponsored by the Biochemical Society and the Chinese Protein Society, overlapping on the first day of the 3rd APPA conference . As the host of this great event, t he Chinese Protein Society will very well make the arrangements and warmly welcome the colleagues in this community to join us.

Reasons To Exhibit
The 3 rd Asia Pacific Protein Association (APPA) Conference in conjunction with the 3 rd Symposium of the Chinese Protein Society and the Satellite Sino-UK Protein Symposium , will attract about 1,000 protein science society members from around the world – for five days and under one roof. The conferences are your chance to make yourself known to the world , to generate qualified sales leads with your customers and prospects, to show new technologies, and learn first hand what your colleagues (and competitors) are doing to sharpen their edge. If that doesn’t inspire you to greatness, nothing will. You can expand your visibility by taking advantage of advertising in the various options. Our staff is dedicated to your success.
