The 31st annual BIO-Europe

Hits:47   Date: 8/8/2025
November 3-5, 2025 | Vienna, Austria

Conference website: https://informaconnect.com/bioeurope/

BIO-Europe is produced by EBD Group, the leading partnering firm for the global life science industry, in collaboration with Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO).

WHAT/WHY:
Now in its 31st year, BIO-Europe serves as the premier meeting point for global biopharma dealmakers, innovators, and investors. Set in Vienna, where the rhythm of coffeehouse conversation meets scientific progress, the 2025 edition expects more than 5,700 delegates, over 30,000 one-to-one meetings and promises unmatched access to key industry leaders and some of the brightest minds in the sector.

This year’s agenda is organized around three immersive themes – Business of Biotech, Therapeutic Insights, and Ecosystem Innovation – designed not just to spotlight the latest trends but to put the voices behind them front and center.

The conference opens with a high‐level Opening Plenary, featuring Ipsen CEO David Loew and Ovid Therapeutics Chairman and CEO Jeremy Levin, who will explore Europe’s evolving role in global healthcare innovation, framed as “a symphony or a solo act?” This conversation sets the tone for three days of insights into how scientific innovation, capital, partnerships, and geopolitics are shaping the future of life sciences.

Rather than retelling headlines, BIOEurope brings the dealmakers behind them to the stage. Featured stories include SpliceBio’s $135M Series B genetherapy strategy, ReproNovo’s $65M Series A in reproductive health, and WuXi AppTec’s role in scaling European biotech innovation. C-level executives from Ipsen, Sofinnova Partners, T-CURX, and others, including investors and founders, will share unfiltered insights from high impact deals, ecosystem building, and emerging industry trends.

Additional not-to-miss sessions include the Biopharma Investment Panel, where leaders from Stifel, Angelini Ventures, and Novo Holdings will discuss what’s driving capital in 2025 – and where it’s headed. The Longevity Session explores whether biotech can deliver on the promise of healthy aging at scale, with insights from pioneers like Insilico’s Alex Zhavoronkov and Wlanholding CEO Werner Lanthaler.

Program highlights also include the Startup Spotlight pitch competition, where emerging biotechs pitch their science and strategy to top investors and pharma scouts; and the YVC Collective session focused on the choreography of early-stage deals and the founder-investor dynamic.

On the final day, the media roundup panel – “A waltz through BIO-Europe 2025” – will offer fresh perspectives and key takeaways from across the three days, capturing the pulse of the event through the voices of leading industry journalists.

Attendees can also take part in Digital Partnering Days via partneringONE, scheduled for November 11-12, 2025, extending the opportunity to connect beyond the in-person event.
