STXBP1（syntaxin binding protein 1) encodes a syntaxin-binding protein. The encoded protein appears to play a role in release of neurotransmitters via regulation of syntaxin, a transmembrane attachment protein receptor. Mutations in STXBP1 have been associated with infantile epileptic encephalopathy-4. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described.

Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the investigator. Suggested starting dilutions are as follows: WB: 1:500-1:2000, ELISA: 1:5000. Not yet tested in other applications.
