PTX3 encodes a member of the pentraxin protein family. The expression of pentraxin 3 is induced by inflammatory cytokines in response to inflammatory stimuli in several mesenchymal and epithelial cell types, particularly endothelial cells and mononuclear phagocytes. Pentraxin 3 promotes fibrocyte differentiation and is involved in regulating inflammation and complement activation. It also plays a role in angiogenesis and tissue remodeling. Pentraxin 3 serves as a biomarker for several inflammatory conditions

Ptx3 Polyclonal Antibody detects endogenous levels of Ptx3 protein.

Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the investigator. Suggested starting dilutions are as follows: WB: 1:500-1:2000, IHC-p: 1:100-1:300, IF: 1:200-1:1000, ELISA: 1:10000. Not yet tested in other applications.
