CERS4 is a Protein Coding gene. Ceramide Synthase 4 may be either a bona fide (dihydro)ceramide synthase or a modulator of its activity. When overexpressed in cells is involved in the production of sphingolipids containing different fatty acid donors (N-linked stearoyl- (C18) or arachidoyl- (C20) ceramides) in a fumonisin B1-independent manner. Among its related pathways are Metabolism and Sphingolipid signaling pathway. GO annotations related to this gene include sphingosine N-acyltransferase activity. An important paralog of this gene is CERS5.

LASS4 Polyclonal Antibody detects endogenous levels of LASS4 protein.

Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the investigator. Suggested starting dilutions are as follows: WB: 1:500-1:2000, IHC-p: 1:100-1:300, ELISA: 1:10000. Not yet tested in other applications.
