Proteins of the matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) family are involved in the breakdown of extracellular matrix in normal physiological processes, such as embryonic development, reproduction, and tissue remodeling, as well as in disease processes, such as arthritis and metastasis. Most MMP's are secreted as inactive proproteins which are activated when cleaved by extracellular proteinases. MMP3 encodes an enzyme which degrades fibronectin, laminin, collagens III, IV, IX, and X, and cartilage proteoglycans. Matrix metallopeptidase 3 is thought to be involved in wound repair, progression of atherosclerosis, and tumor initiation. MMP3 is part of a cluster of MMP genes which localize to chromosome 11q22.3.
The Abbkine Cleaved-MMP-3 (F100) Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen anddetects endogenous levels of fragment of activated MMP-3 protein resulting from cleavage adjacent to F100. The antibody has been validaed in WB, ELISA and reacts with Human samples.
Abbkine supplies below price/size: $100/30μl, $220/100μl, $360/200μl of Rabbit Anti-Cleaved-MMP-3 (F100) Polyclonal Antibody at https://www.abbkine.com/product/cleaved-mmp-3-f100-polyclonal-antibody-abp50050.
