SD-6L centrifugal spray dryer is constructed from high-quality and food-grade SS304 and features a precision-finished surface treatment. It is operated via a 10-inch high-definition touchscreen interface, integrated with a dedicated intelligent control system and a high-efficiency spiral cyclone separator. This configuration ensures excellent drying performance and a high material recovery rate during pilot-scale trials.
Working principle and advantages of our Pilot centrifugal spray dryer
The filtered air enters an air heater, Once heated to a specified temperature, the air enters a hot air distributor tangentially. Conditioned by the distributor, the air flows uniformly and spirally into the drying chamber. Simultaneously, the liquid feedstock is atomized by an atomizer into micron-sized droplets. Upon contact with the hot air, these droplets rapidly vaporize and dry, transforming into a powder or granular product. The dried powder or granules are carried along with the airflow into a cyclone separator for separation; finally, the exhaust gas is discharged through the fan outlet or directed into a dust collector before being expelled.
The centrifugal spray dryer employs a co-current spray drying method, wherein the liquid droplets flow in the same direction as the hot air. Although the hot air temperature is high, the drying material is prevented from overheating because the hot air comes into immediate contact with the sprayed droplets the moment it enters the drying chamber, while the simultaneous evaporation of the droplets absorbs heat. Furthermore, the airflow path within the piping has been optimized and paired with a high-efficiency cyclone separator, enabling a material recovery rate of over 94% for certain materials. The entire body of the equipment-including the internal piping and all components that come into contact with the material-is constructed from SUS304 stainless steel, thereby guaranteeing that the product remains free from contamination.
