ITGA9 (Integrin Subunit Alpha 9) is a Protein Coding gene. Diseases associated with ITGA9 include Chylothorax, Congenital and Muir-Torre Syndrome. Among its related pathways are Arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy (ARVC) and ECM proteoglycans. ITGA9 encodes an alpha integrin. Integrins are heterodimeric integral membrane glycoproteins composed of an alpha chain and a beta chain that mediate cell-cell and cell-matrix adhesion. The protein encoded by ITGA9, when bound to the beta 1 chain, forms an integrin that is a receptor for VCAM1, cytotactin and osteopontin. Expression of this gene has been found to be upregulated in small cell lung cancers.
Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the investigator. Suggested starting dilutions are as follows: WB 1:500-2000 ELISA 1:5000-20000.
