When Peter Knappe and James Bartlett started TriSep Corporation in 1989, it solely produced cellulose acetate membranes.  Over the next 27 years, TriSep Corporation grew from humble beginnings to become a global supplier of membrane products. Production began of a wide variety of membranes including reverse osmosis, nanofiltration, ultrafiltration, and microfiltration as well as membrane cleaners and scale inhibitors.

In 2016, TriSep Corporation was officially acquired by MICRODYN-NADIR, and became MICRODYN-NADIR US, Inc. MICRODYN-NADIR has been applying its products in various industrial and municipal applications for 50 years.  They produce industry-leading microfiltration and ultrafiltration membranes and modules, such as the BIO-CEL® MBR module.  Combined with TriSep’s reverse osmosis and nanofiltration membranes, plus specialty products such as TurboClean® sanitary spiral elements, MICRODYN-NADIR has become a one-stop shop with the widest range of membrane filtration products.

TRISEP® Reverse Osmosis Membranes

MICRODYN-NADIR's line of TRISEP® reverse osmosis (RO) membranes are used in a wide variety of applications from industrial water purification, municipal water and wastewater treatment, to food, dairy, and beverage production. All of our reverse osmosis membranes are available in standard fiber glass elements, TurboClean® sanitary elements, and custom element models upon request.

THIN FILM COMPOSITES

X-20™ Low Fouling RO

X-20™ membrane’s proprietary polyamide-urea formulation results in low-fouling characteristics. The unique barrier layer chemistry does not degrade over time like competitive “fouling-resistant” membranes that are simply standard membranes treated with a surface coating. Excellent for wastewater and other high fouling applications, the X-20™ membrane is extremely durable and offers consistent high salt rejection while lowering cleaning frequency and extending membrane life.

ACM2 Brackish Water RO

ACM2 is MICRODYN-NADIR's standard brackish water RO membrane, offering high rejection in a durable and economical membrane. ACM2 elements are available in numerous direct replacement configurations for your standard brackish water application.

ACM4 Low Energy RO

ACM4, MICRODYN-NADIR's low energy brackish water membrane, offers high rejection at lower operating pressures.

CELLULOSE ACETATE

SB20 Cellulose Acetate RO

SB20, our high rejection CA membrane is used primarily in beverage applications where cleaning regimens require frequent use of chlorine to maintain a sanitary environment.

SB50 Cellulose Acetate RO

SB50, our high flow CA RO membrane is used primarily in beverage applications where cleaning regimens require frequent use of chlorine to maintain a sanitary environment.

TRISEP® Nanofiltration Membranes

TRISEP® nanofiltration (NF) membranes are used in a wide variety of applications from industrial water softening, municipal water and wastewater treatment, to food, dairy, and beverage production. All of our nanofiltration membranes are available in standard fiber glass elements, TurboClean sanitary elements, and custom element models upon request.

TS80

TS80 polyamide-based nanofiltrationmembranes with a molecular weight cut-off between 100-200 Daltons, are primarily used in water applications as a softening membrane.

TS40

TS40 piperazine-based nanofiltrationmembranes with a molecular weight cut-off between 200-300 Daltons, are primarily used in food, dairy and other process applications.

XN45

With a molecular weight cut-off of approximately 500 Daltons, XN45 piperazine-based nanofiltration membranes have the versality to be used in process streams as well as low pressure water purification.

UA60

UA60 is a piperazine based membrane with a molecular weight cut-off between 1,000-3,000 Daltons, this product is frequently used in process applications requiring a “tight” ultrafiltration membrane or a very “open” nanofiltration membrane.

SB90

SB90, our high flow cellulose acetate NF membrane is used primarily in beverage applications where cleaning regimens require frequent use of chlorine to maintain a sanitary environment.

SBNF

SBNF is a cellulose acetate nanofiltration membrane with a nominal MWCO in the range of 1,000-2,000 Daltons. SBNF is well suited for removal of organics and color.

TRISEP® Ultrafiltration Membranes

TRISEP® ultrafiltration (UF) membranes are used in a wide variety of applications from food and dairy processes to protein concentration and pharmaceuticals. All of MICRODYN-NADIR's ultrafiltration membranes are available in standard fiber glass elements, TurboClean sanitary elements, and custom element models upon request.

UF5

With a nominal molecular weight cut-off of 5,000 Daltons, UF5 is a PES membrane that is suited for process separations, particulary applications involving protein concentration to high solids levels.  In these applications, a tighter ultrafiltration membrane is often used to maximize product yield.

UF10

UF10 is a new 10K molecular weight cut off (MWCO) polyethersulfone ultrafiltration membrane developed for use in food, dairy, and process applications. Combined with TriSep's sanitary TurboClean® outer shell these membranes are ideal for milk and whey protein concentration.

UE50

UE50 membrane is a polyethersulfone ultrafiltration membrane with a molecular weight cut-off of 100,000 Daltons used for both water and process applications.

SBUF

SBUF is an ultrafiltration CA membrane with a nominal MWCO of 8,000 Daltons. Applications for SBUF include removal of organics and color from surface water.

TRISEP® Microfiltration Membranes

TRISEP® microfiltration (MF) membranes are used in a wide variety of applications from water treatment to food, dairy, and pharmaceutical production.  All of our microfiltration membranes are available in standard fiber glass elements, TurboClean sanitary elements, and custom element models upon request.

TM10

TM10 membrane is a polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) microfiltration membrane with a pore size of 0.2 micron that is used for both water and process applications.

MF01

MF01 is a PES microfiltration membrane with a nominal pore size of 0.1 micron.  MF01 applications include clarification, fat removal and product concentration in sweetener applications, whey processing and fermentation broths.
