Members of the peripheral membrane-associated guanylate kinase (MAGUK) family function in tumor suppression and receptor clustering by forming multiprotein complexes containing distinct sets of transmembrane, cytoskeletal, and cytoplasmic signaling proteins. All MAGUKs contain a PDZ-SH3-GUK core and are divided into 4 subfamilies, DLG-like (see DLG1; MIM 601014), ZO1-like (see TJP1; MIM 601009), p55-like (see MPP1; MIM 305360), and LIN2-like (see CASK; MIM 300172), based on their size and the presence of additional domains.

Mouse MAGUK p55 subfamily member 6 (MPP6) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate MPP6 in samples. An antibody specific for MPP6 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anyMPP6 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for MPP6 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of MPP6 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
