Category Name:Misc. Microarrays
Description:
This microarray is the first of its kind in that it allows analysis of gene expression profiles of both the host and pathogen simultaneously. The genome-wide content on this microarray contains oligos designed after the 13,666 predicted Magnaporthe genes from the newly annotated data set at the Fungal Genomics Laboratory at North Carolina State University. Included are annotations from the Whitehead Institute at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. This microarray also contains 7,137 probes designed after ESTs of rice genes derived from cDNA generated at the Ohio State University from uninfected as well as M. grisea infected rice tissue, and sequences at the University of Arizona’s Plant Genomics Institute.

This product is intended for use in research only. Use of the product requires agreement to specific licenses.

Features:
•60-mer oligonucleotides representing genome wide coverage of Magnaporthe grisea, plus inclusion of relevant rice genes in a single microarray
•Complete access to probe sequence information used to query the IRBGC Magnaporthe and University of Arizona rice databases at http://www.mgosdb.org
•5 identical oligonucleotide microarrays on 5 standard 1"" x 3"" glass slides
•CD containing microarray layout data and feature information
•Oligonucleotide Microarray Hybridization ProtocolAgilent Microarray Technology
Agilent is advancing the art of manufacturing microarrays through a powerful combination of probe design algorithms and validation methods, maskless & highly-flexible microarray printing based on industrial-scale inkjet technologies, and unique QC processes. The result is affordable, accessible pre-printed microarrays with content researchers can trust. Find out more about the powerful technologies behind Agilent''s microarrays!

Category Name:Misc. Microarrays
Description:
Rice is one the world’s most important food crops and is also an important model for biological research. This array will enable researchers to simultaneously characterize thousands of rice genes associated with biological functions, growth processes, and biotic and abiotic stress response. Probes on this array are designed to selections from the extensive rice (japonica) cDNA library of Japan’s National Institute of Agrobiological Sciences.

This product is intended for use in research only. Use of the product requires agreement to specific licenses.

Features:
•Estimated 60% coverage of the rice (japonica) genome focuses on well annotated genes selected by Dr. Shoshi Kikuchi, (Japan) National Institute of Agrobiological Sciences .
•Active links for each gene to NIAS database ensure up-to-date annotation .
•5 standard 1" x 3" glass slides each containing an identical oligonucleotide microarray .
•CD containing microarray layout data and feature information.
•Oligonucleotide Microarray Hybridization Protocol Rice Oligo Microarray Performance
With 60-mer sensitivity advantages, researchers can now detect low expressing rice genes that would have otherwise gone undetected with conventional methods. Coupled to this, researchers will enjoy the benefits of a pre-packaged microarray offering the unparalleled reproducibility that comes the standardized, industrial-scale manufacturing SurePrint process from Agilent.

Description:
Magnaporthe grisea is the cause of rice blast, the most devastating disease of rice worldwide. This fungal pathogen is highly tractable and serves as a seminal model for the study of plant disease. The genome-wide content on this microarray contains oligos designed after 13,666 predicted Magnaporthe genes from the newly annotated data set at the Fungal Genomics Laboratory at North Carolina State University. Included are annotations from the Whitehead Institute at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. This microarray also contains 7,137 probes designed after ESTs of rice genes.

This microarray is the first of its kind in that it allows analysis of gene expression profiles in both the host and pathogen simultaneously.

Research conducted using this “interactions” chip will facilitate enhanced management of fungal pathogens and the improvement of disease resistance rice.

This product is intended for use in research only. Use of the product requires agreement to specific licenses.

Features:
•Over 13,500 genes and transcripts 60-mers with 100% genome coverage predicted Magnaporthe genes from the newly annotated data set at the Fungal Genomics Laboratory at North Carolina State University
•Over 7,000 probes designed after ESTs of rice genes. Rice ESTs derived from cDNA generated at the Ohio State University from uninfected as well as M. grisea infected rice tissue were sequenced and annotated by the
University of Arizona’s Plant Genomics Institute.
•5 standard 1"" x 3"" glass slides each containing an identical oligonucleotide microarray
CD containing microarray layout data and feature information
