When filling petri dishes with AGAR medium, a sterile environment is crucial. However, the risk of contaminating the AGAR medium should not be underestimated if artificially poured into a petri dish. Even with peristaltic pumps, sterility may be jeopardized because the plates and tubes are manually operated. In addition, manually filling a large number of petri dishes is a difficult process. AMD helps you avoid these drawbacks. AMD can process up to 500 petri dishes in an hour and provide truly reliable unattended operation. The filling chamber is equipped with ultraviolet lamps and the petri dishes are automatically filled with AGAR medium to remain pollution-free.
