Introduction to our gas chromatography
Our gas chromatography (GC) is a widely used separation technique in analytical chemistry for the separation and analysis of compounds that can evaporate without decomposition. It achieves the analysis of complex mixtures by separating the components in the sample between the gas phase and the stationary phase.
Instrument composition
Carrier gas system: provides a stable mobile phase, usually using inert gases such as helium and nitrogen.
Sample injection system: Introduce the sample into the chromatographic column, usually through the injection port.
Chromatographic column: It is the core component of chromatographic separation. Which can be a packed column or a capillary column, selected according to the complexity and boiling point range of the sample.
Temperature control system: used to control the temperature of chromatography columns, vaporization chambers, and detectors to ensure separation efficiency and detection accuracy.
Detector: Used to detect components flowing out of chromatographic columns, common detectors include thermal conductivity detector(TCD), flame ionization detector (FID), electron capture detector (ECD), etc.

Purity analysis: used to determine the purity of a specific substance.
Mixture separation: used for separating and analyzing various components in a mixture, and determining their relative content.
Compound identification: In some cases, gas chromatography can help identify unknown compounds.
Preparation chromatography: In preparation chromatography, gas chromatography can be used to separate pure compounds from mixtures.
