This reciprocating cylinder dissolution tester simulates gastrointestinal conditions via simple programming, and conducts in vitro dissolution pH profile analysis with biologically relevant agitation speeds and residence times. It can be applied to test the release rates of floating preparations, microspheres and chewable formulations. Multiple types of samples can be tested and transferred on a single instrument, saving valuable bench space. Samples can be automatically transferred from one medium to another without manual operation. The RCWF-1 complies with the requirements of Method 7 (Reciprocating Cylinder Method) and Method 8 (Reciprocating Holder Method) under General Chapter 0931 Dissolution and Release Rate Test in the latest edition of Chinese Pharmacopoeia, as well as USP Apparatus 3 and USP Apparatus 7.
