Cyagen Molecular Biology Department offers custom-build lacZ reporter constructs service. With this service, Cyagen will be able to relieve customers from the tedious work of making DNA constructs which, as making transgenic mice, is just a procedure that is a waste of customers’ valuable research time. Customers only need to provide template of the sequences of their interest.



Our service includes:


1. Design and synthesize primers according to insert sequence;

2. Perform PCR amplification of insert from DNA fragment and clone PCR product into shuttle vector;

3. Pick 6 clones and obtain mini-prep DNA and sequence inserts in all 6 clones to identify the clone with the correct insert;

4. Transfer the correct insert in the shuttle vector into the Hsp68/lacZ vector;

5. Pick the correct clone and prepare maxi-prep DNA;

6. Linearize DNA with restriction enzyme and purify linearized DNA in preparation for microinjection.
