Cyagen Transgenic Animal Center offers services for pronuclear injection of DNA into fertilized oocytes, ES cell injections into blastocysts, and many other procedures. Our mission is to provide investigators with high-quality, cost-effective and fast-turnaround services in transgenic and knockout mouse technologies.

Our state-of-the-art animal facility maintains specific-pathogen free (SPF) health status, housing approximately 2,000 mouse cages and 200 rat cages on individually ventilated cage (IVC) system racks within the Class 10,000 ultra-clean environment.

Only animals from commercial sources (i.e. Charles River, Jackson Labs and Taconic Farms) with pathogen-free status are allowed access into our facility where they need to pass quarantine before being populated inside the facility. All other mouse lines must be rederived via fresh embryos or cryopreserved embryos.

All cages, food, bedding, supplies, etc. are autoclaved or radiated before entering the clean area of the facility. Personnel working in the facility are under strict control to eliminate possibility of contamination. To ensure pathogen free status, panel screens including pathology are completed periodically.

Cyagen provides various kinds of human and animal embryonic and adult stem cells, genetically engineered cell lines and their culture media for scientific research and drug discovery purposes.

Cyagen provides services in transgenic animals including knockout mice, and stem cell based drug discovery.
