ELOVL5（ELOVL fatty acid elongase 5) belongs to the ELO family. It is highly expressed in the adrenal gland and testis, and encodes a multi-pass membrane protein that is localized in the endoplasmic reticulum. This protein is involved in the elongation of long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids. Mutations in ELOVL5 have been associated with spinocerebellar ataxia-38 (SCA38). Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for ELOVL5.

ELOVL5 Polyclonal Antibody detects endogenous levels of ELOVL5 protein.

Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the investigator. Suggested starting dilutions are as follows: WB: 1:500-1:2000, IHC-p: 1:100-1:300, ELISA: 1:40000. Not yet tested in other applications.
