The protein encoded by RGS16（regulator of G-protein signaling 16) belongs to the 'regulator of G protein signaling' family. It inhibits signal transduction by increasing the GTPase activity of G protein alpha subunits. It also may play a role in regulating the kinetics of signaling in the phototransduction cascade.

Phospho-RGS16 (Y168) Polyclonal Antibody detects endogenous levels of RGS16 protein only when phosphorylated at Y168.

Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the investigator. Suggested starting dilutions are as follows: WB: 1:500-1:2000, ELISA: 1:10000. Not yet tested in other applications.
