NBPF5 (neuroblastoma breakpoint family member 5) is a 351 amino acid cytoplasmic protein that is expressed in medulla and brain and belongs to the NBPF family. NBPF5 contains one NBPF domain and is encoded by a gene that maps to human chromosome 1p13.3. Chromosome 1 spans 260 million base pairs, contains over 3,000 genes and comprises nearly 8% of the human genome. Chromosome 1 houses a large number of disease-associated genes, including those that are involved in familial adenomatous polyposis, Stickler syndrome, Parkinson’s disease, Gaucher disease, schizophrenia and Usher syndrome. Aberrations in chromosome 1 are found in a variety of cancers, including head and neck cancer, malignant melanoma and multiple myeloma.

NBPF5 Polyclonal Antibody detects endogenous levels of NBPF5 protein.

Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the investigator. Suggested starting dilutions are as follows: WB: 1:500-1:2000, IHC-p: 1:100-1:300, ELISA: 1:10000. Not yet tested in other applications.
