BackgroundCD62P, also known as P-selectin, is a 140 kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein that plays a crucial role in cell adhesion and immune responses. It is stored in 伪-granules of platelets and Weibel-Palade bodies of endothelial cells, and is rapidly relocated to the cell surface upon activation by stimuli such as thrombin or histamine. CD62P mediates the initial adhesion and rolling of leukocytes on endothelial cells during inflammation and facilitates interactions between activated platelets and neutrophils or monocytes. It binds to specific carbohydrate ligands on leukocytes in a calcium-dependent manner. Additionally, CD62P is used as a marker for platelet activation and has potential diagnostic value in various diseases. bio-equip.cn
