BackgroundThe c-Myc is a polypeptide protein tag derived from the c-myc gene product, which can be added to the protein by recombinant DNA technology. It contains 10 amino acids (EQKLISEEDL) with a molecular weight of 1.2 KDa and can be fused to the N-terminus or C-terminus of the target protein for purification and detection. The Myc tag is widely used in various expression systems, including bacteria, yeast, insects and mammalian cells, to detect the expression of fusion proteins. It can be used for affinity chromatography and purified by coupling the Myc-tagged antibody to divinylsulfone-activated agarose. bio-equip.cn
