MOB1A encoded by this gene is a component of the Hippo signaling pathway, which controls organ size and tumor growth by enhancing apoptosis. Loss of the encoded protein results in cell proliferation and cancer formation. The encoded protein is also involved in the control of microtubule stability during cytokinesis. Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. MOB1A (MOB Kinase Activator 1A) is a Protein Coding gene. Among its related pathways are Hippo signaling pathway - multiple species and Hippo signaling pathway. An important paralog of this gene is MOB1B.
Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the investigator. Suggested starting dilutions are as follows: WB 1:500-2000 ELISA 1:5000-20000.
