Thimet Oligopeptidase 1 encoded by THOP1 is a kininase that uses zinc as a cofactor. The encoded oligopeptidase cleaves cytosolic peptides, making them unavailable for display on antigen-presenting cells. Thimet Oligopeptidase 1 also cleaves neuropeptides under 20 aa in length and can degrade beta-amyloid precursor protein to amyloidogenic peptides.THOP1 (Thimet Oligopeptidase 1) is a Protein Coding gene. Among its related pathways are African trypanosomiasis and ACE Inhibitor Pathway, Pharmacodynamics.
Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the investigator. Suggested starting dilutions are as follows: WB 1:500-2000 ELISA 1:5000-20000.
