The protein encoded by AATK contains a tyrosine kinase domain at the N-terminus and a proline-rich domain at the C-terminus. AATK is induced during apoptosis, and expression of AATK may be a necessary pre-requisite for the induction of growth arrest and/or apoptosis of myeloid precursor cells. AATK has been shown to produce neuronal differentiation in a neuroblastoma cell line. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for AATK.
Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the investigator. Suggested starting dilutions are as follows: WB 1:500-2000 ELISA 1:5000-20000.
