    description:
Designed to truly represent genes in the human genome, Agilent's Human 1A Oligo Microarray represents 60-mer oligonucleotide probes which span conserved exons across the transcripts of the targeted full length genes. Coupled with laboratory validation, this design method gives the customer maximal confidence in the probe design and prevents redundancy in gene coverage.

Much of the sequence and annotation information used in this microarray product is available only through Agilent and Incyte, and virtually all of the genes and corresponding probes have been mapped to the human genome DNA backbone and are experimentally validated.

When used together with the Agilent Human 1B Oligo Microarray Kit, researchers will finally have access to a comprehensive set of microarrays for whole genome screening of over 36,000 well-described and less-defined genes and transcripts. Both microarrays in the set offer researchers a select number of open features which allows them to add their own novel probes to either of these microarrays through Agilent’s Custom Microarray Services.

This product is intended for use in research only. Use of the product requires agreement to specific licenses.

    description:
Designed to truly represent the known genes in the human genome and their resulting transcripts, Agilent’s Whole Human Genome Oligo microarray is comprised of approximately 41,000 (60-mer) oligonucleotide probes, which span conserved exons across the transcripts of the targeted full-length genes. These probes represent the human genome as we know it today leveraging well characterized, full-length and partial human genes form a number of major public sources. The sequence and annotation information used in this microarray product is available through Agilent and publicly available databases such as RefSeq, GoldenPath, Ensembl and more. Virtually all of the genes and corresponding probes have been mapped to the human genome DNA backbone. These probes have been experimentally validated in Agilent’s laboratories, leveraging advanced probe selection methods.

Moreover, the 44K feature whole genome microarray offers comparable performance to their 22K features Human 1A and Human 1B counterparts in Agilent family of microarrays. It displays robust linearity and unparalleled sensitivity to detect low expressing genes that can make a large difference in your research.

item:Human Genome CGH Microarray 44A Kit
    vendor:Agilent Technologies
    catalog number:G4410A
    quantity:5 (1 array/slide)
    description:
Agilent's Human Genome CGH Microarray 44A is a high-resolution, high performance 60-mer oligonucleotide-based microarray that contains over 40,000 probes sourced from the NCBI genome (Build 34; July, 2003). Coupled with Agilent's CGH Analytics software this microarray enables genome-wide survey and molecular profiling of genomic aberrations (i.e. copy number changes) on a single chip.
    • Genome-wide coverage - Consists of ~ 40,000 60-mer oligonucleotide probes that span the human genome with an average spatial resolution of ~75kb, including coding and noncoding sequences, providing sufficient coverage for genome-wide survey of DNA aberrations.
    • Optimized probe design for CGH applications - Maximize confidence in microarray performance through Agilent’s powerful probe design algorithms and validation processes that deliver the ultimate superior performance. Probe performance was validated in multiple model systems with defined aberrations.
    • High resolution and sensitivity - Reproducibly detect genome lesions including single-copy and homozygous deletions as well as variable amplicons - enabled by Agilent’s in situ synthesized 60-mer oligonucleotide probe.
    • Nanogram input of genomic material - Requires only 25ng of total genomic DNA per sample so that you can work with clinical samples that are extremely precious and limited in quantity.
    • Total genomic DNA with NO complexity reduction - No complexity reduction is necessary – eliminating potential biases introduced by the process and maximizing the biological utility of the sample with a single, simplified sample preparation.
    • Focused coverage in cancer related genes - Probe selection biased toward genes, particularly cancer-related genes in order to ensure adequate coverage in most commonly studied genomic regions. Each well-known gene is represented by at least 1 60-mer oligonucleotide probe and 3 probes for each cancer important gene.
