It is the pathogenic noxae of many human diseases and it can cause respiratory tract infection, conjunctivitis, fever-rash, hand-foot-mouth disease, herpes pharyngitis, myocarditis, cardiomyopathy, aseptic meningitis&encephalitis, acute flaccid paralysis and other diseases. Coxsackie virus has 30 serotypes and divided into two groups of A and B. The CV A16 is one of the main reasons of hand-foot-mouth disease in children.
