Introduction

Canine distemper is popular in variety of carnivorous animals especially dogs more easily infected through the respiratory system. Because this disease is difficult to cure so mortality is higher. The CDV virus can be detect in blood after 1 week to infected of distemper virus.

Sickened dog appears fever dry, cough, conjunctivitis vomiting, diarrhea and other symptoms after 2 weeks.

The Rapid CDV Ag Test Kit use chromatographic immunoassay for the qualitative detection of canine distemper virus antigen in mucus, saliva, serum or plasma. After adding sample, it moves along with labled CDV antibody. If there is CDV antigen, combine with antibody on T line showing wine red color. If no CDV antigen, no color reaction.

Procedure

1.Specimen Canine serum, plasma, blood, ocular discharge or nasal discharge

A. Add 2 drops serum, plasma or 1 drop blood into sample buffer, mix it evenly;

B. Use swab to collect sample from For mucus or saliva, insert the swab into sample buffer. mix and stir to make it dissolved completely.

2.Remove the test device from the foil pouch, and place it on a flat and dry surface. Using the disposable dropper provided, Add 5 drops of samples into well marked “S” on the device.

3.As the test begins to work, you will see purple color move across the result window in the center of the test device. If the migration has not appeared after 1 minute, you can press areas between " sample hole" and "T line" , help liquid release.

4.Read the test results within 10 ~ 15 minutes, Invalid result after 15 minutes
