Papillomaviridae is an ancient taxonomic family of non-enveloped DNA viruses, collectively known as papillomaviruses. Several hundred species of papillomaviruses, traditionally referred to as "types",[1] have been identified infecting all carefully inspected mammals, but also other amniotes such as birds, snakes and turtles. Infection by most papillomavirus types, depending on the type, is either asymptomatic (e.g. most Beta-PVs) or causes small benign tumors, known as papillomas or warts (e.g. human papillomavirus1, HPV6 or HPV11). Papillomas caused by some types, however, such as human papillomaviruses 16 and 18, carry a risk of becoming cancerous.
Rabbit Papillomavirus type 16 L1-capsids IgG antibody ELISA ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate IgG in samples. An antibody specific for IgG has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anyIgG present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for IgG is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of IgG bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
