Histone acetyltransferase that acetylates lysine residues in histone H3 and histone H4 (in vitro). Component of the MOZ/MORF complex which has a histone H3 acetyltransferase activity. May act as a transcriptional coactivator for RUNX1 and RUNX2 (By similarity). Acetylates p53/TP53 at 'Lys-120' and 'Lys-382' and controls its transcriptional activity via association with PML (By similarity).

Mouse Histone acetyltransferase MYST3 (MYST3) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate MYST3 in samples. An antibody specific for MYST3 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anyMYST3 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for MYST3 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of MYST3 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
