3-Phase Separating Decanter centrifuge also called tricanter in the world. The 3-Phase Separating Decanter is a centrifuge in which two liquids of different densities are separated from each other. At the same time solids are separated and discharged.

In the case of a 3-Phase Separating Decanter with centripetal pump for the light phase and gravity discharge of the heavy phase, the light liquid phase leaves the centrifugation space over an exchangeable regulating ring and is discharged under pressure by the centripetal pump. At the same time, the heavy liquid phase is discharged under gravity through exchangeable regulating tubes. Another technical variant is the case of a 3-Phase Separating Decanter with centripetal pump for the heavy phase and gravity discharge of the light phase. The choice of the appropriate design depends on the product to be separated and the lay-out of the customer installation.

The three-phase decanter centrifuge with an adjustable impeller pump can adjust the flow rate of the clarified liquid inside the drum during solid-liquid two-phase separation and discharge it out of the machine under pressure. This way, the overflow orifice plate at the large end of the drum and the output pump for the clarified liquid can be omitted. Depending on the separation state of the materials, the depth of the liquid pool inside the drum can be adjusted online to improve the separation effect. During solid-liquid-liquid three-phase separation, by adjusting the flow rate of the heavy-phase liquid, the position of the interface between the heavy liquid and the light liquid can be changed. This device can optimize the clarity of one-phase liquid and reduce the downstream auxiliary equipment.

The main and auxiliary motors are controlled to operate by means of variable-frequency starting, with the following characteristics: The main motor starts smoothly and can be adjusted steplessly; it can meet the processing and control requirements of liquids with different solid content rates; on-site operations such as "starting", "stopping", and "emergency stopping" can be performed. This machine adopts the power-saving control technology of the common DC bus. During normal operation, the auxiliary motor is in a power generation state,and the electric energy is fed back to the main frequency converter and utilized by the main motor, which can reduce the running energy consumption and achieve an energy-saving effect.
