Principle and Application
The DJ-2320 laser micro-topography scanner utilizes the principle of linear laser reflection and CCD imaging to convert the surface topography into electrical signals at different object points. These signals are then processed by computer software to generate digital elevation models (DEMs), which can be used to assess soil erosion or conduct related mechanistic studies.
Compared to the first-generation PLS products, the DJ-2320 offers faster scanning speeds and higher precision. It uses a laptop for data collection, making it more convenient for field use.
Instrument Usage
The DJ-2320 laser micro-topography scanner measures micro-topographic elevations based on the principle of triangulation. It acquires elevation data at each point using laser scanning, achieving sub-millimeter accuracy. The measurement process is non-contact, eliminating the disturbance to the soil surface caused by traditional needle methods. This results in more reliable data that accurately reflects subtle changes in surface micro-topography.
Application Fields
- Screening and algorithm implementation of evaluation indicators for soil surface micro-topographic features
