ambr® 250 high throughput microcarrier Vessel

The new vessel type has been developed to support microcarrier and other cultures requiring specialized mixing capabilities.

The vessel is unbaffled and has a single ‘elephant ear’ shaped impeller which is larger than the standard ‘pitched blade impeller. The configuration minimizes shear stress. and performs a radial mix of cultures at lower stirring speeds while maintaining cell functionality and other quality aspects.

The vessel is suitable for:
  • Process development and process optimization
  • Microcarrier-based mammalian cell culture applications
  • Other cultures requiring specialized mixing at slower impeller speed
