For multiple myeloma, many of the commonly detected genetic aberrations are translocations involving immunoglobulin heavy chain (IgH) switch regions (chromosome 14q32). This probe set consists of a 3’ orange probe designed to hybridize to the upstream segment of IgHG1 constant region, and a 5’ green probe which encompasses part of the variable region. Rearrangements resulting from cytogenetic events should be detected by translocation of the green probe.

Empire Genomics has developed a custom probe set to chromosome location 14q32 which can be used to detect IGH gene translocations using fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH). The probe comes labeled in orange and green, and generally ships within 24 hours. You can choose to customize the probe to meet your needs, which will ship right after production of the probe is complete (approximately 1 week).
