CM-CEellulose, short for Carboxymethyl Cellulose Sodium for Column Chromatography, is the most widely used hydrophilic cation exchange separation material, is weakly acidic cation exchange fiber containing a carboxymethyl functional groups. CMC containing polar groups, - O - CHCOOH, can amino exchange with protein after dissociation. It is insoluble in ethanol, ethyl ether, acetone, insoluble in water, acid and dilute alkali. It is mainly used in the separation and purification of protein, nucleic acid, polysaccharide, ezemy, tissue cell and pigment. It has high stability, large macromolecular adsorption capacity, fast, easy elution and separation ability, etc.
